I'll be flying in, so I probably won't be able to bring a spray fixative. Also I'm hoping to take only 1 check-in luggage. So I can't bring a wire cutter. Will it be possible to share with someone? I'm willing to share my ephemera ... :)

Cynthia, Last year one of my friends flew in with a carryone and ended up having to buy a suitcase because of all the class projects and goodies she got a Spark. Something to consider, you will definately be able to find Spark sisters to share tools with :) If you are getting in on THursday before 7pm consider joining some of us for dinner. More details to come later at www.sparksisters.blogspot.com

I'm thinking about picking up a few things at the local Hobby Lobby. Assuming google is correct, there should be one within 10 minute drive from the hotel.

Great idea about HL!!

Don't forget your shirt for Amy's class. It's listed in the supply list just above the jewelry supply list.

Hey guys- Please don't get anxious over bringing certain items. There is a local craft store and there is always someone willing to share. Do keep in mind that you will be leaving with a lot more than you bring so plan for that.

Instead of bringing a shirt for Amy's class, I'm wondering if a onesie would work? Thoughts ?

And closer than Hobby Lobby is a local craft store called Roberts. They are much closer to Noah's in Lindon than Hobby Lobby in Orem. Also, here's something to plan for: construction. The construction on I-15 is awful. So, unless you have a GPS that can plan an alternate route, I'd suggest an extra 30 minutes leeway if you want to be somewhere at a certain time.

Please give more suggestions for the photos and how thick the book needs to be. Supply list is a bit too vague for me. Help!

Could you post photos of Examples of Items on the supply list like the vintage book, photo album....things that aren't self explanatory or brand specific so I can be sure I'm going in the right direction?

Here is the link to the post that introduced the Junk Journal. It will give you a little peek.

Chelsea is completely right above! There is tons of road construction right now, especially be careful at night. One more thing that may be helpful- the Hobby Lobby, Michaels craft store and a Joann Fabric and craft store are all on the same road as the restaurant, Carrabas. And there is an Archivers in the mall right next to Carrabas as well as a LSS across the street. If anyone needs to buy some of the things on the supply list they could just go over a little early and stop by any of these stores.

What'as the drive time from Orem to Linden if we don't take the intestate? Can't we take 800 [north]? and get there? Would it be quicker with the construction?

Do we need to bring pics or can we do that part at home?

I think the supply list said birng photos - but I"m pondering using photos from the event / trip for this album... looks like we're putting hte little photo albumINSIDE the book --

Another question - should we bring our basic SCRAPBOOK tool kit?

Nancy Wyatt said...

It never hurts to be over prepared with your basic tools in hand :) However, last year we used only the tools they mentioned.

If you pull up this link you can see we slip photos into pockets in middle of book and the look to have embellishments. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K17J-hKGcnw/Te7lvADOQeI/AAAAAAAAAwc/OqL_Creep-8/s1600/photo.JPG

Nancy- was your latest comment about the $1 brag book. I think that is the one item I am most unsure about since I either is 12x12 sheets or just get chip board to make my own mini books.

I asked this question on the Spark facebook page but then realized I should have posted it here...

About the brag book....should it fit "exactly" into the vintage book?

What are "metamorphosis" photos?

Nancy Wyatt said...

The brag book should be one that fits 4x6 photos, this is my observation from looking at the example shown on that class introduction. I found mine at Target in the photo album section for $2 The brag book will be added to the inside of our Junque Journal (which is an old book, 6x9)
