Sarah Sample will share her talent at Spark on Saturday night.
Hey, my name is Sarah. I am a musician and a mother. The landscape of my life has drastically changed over the years, but my desire to create music seems to be rooted to the bone. I cannot ever remember not wanting to be a musician. Singing along to my father’s vinyl record collection as a small child exposed me to names like Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, Bach, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, and The Pointer Sisters. My mother gave me her old Yamaha 6-string guitar in sixth grade and my course was set.
I was writing songs all through my childhood and teenage years; later in College I started touring and released my first record. I recorded my fourth album “Someday, Someday” in 2010 and have been touring from East to West singing my songs, and letting them find a home with the listeners. I was raised in Santa Barbara, CA and have moved over twenty times, placing roots in Texas, Utah, California, Idaho, Wyoming, Georgia,Washington, & Oregon. I enjoy change, and lucky for me my job as a touring singer-songwriter keeps my eyes and heart open to the beauty that is all around us.
